Fishing has always been David’s main interest and passion, and he has found many ways to dedicate his life to it. David got his start in commercial fishing but made the switch to working as a fly fishing guide after realizing he did not enjoy the catch and kill aspect of the trade. David currently works in Iceland for Fish Partner and has guided in Southern Chile for King salmon, as well as for Baltic salmon in Sweden and Atlantic salmon on the Yokanga River in Russia. He pursues destination fisheries all over the world and enjoys the challenge of sharing these opportunities with others through hosting guided trips. Not only is David a dedicated fisherman, but he is also a conservationist and has been integral in developing a commercial rod and line fishery in the UK. David has extensive experience fishing for Yellowfin Tuna around Ascension Island and was invited to contribute to the tagging and tracking efforts of Bluefin Tuna through the Thunnus UK Project. He has also worked with the Ouse Angling Preservation Society, focused on sea trout conservation, through habitat preservation, redd counts, and monitoring. It's anglers and guides like David that keep this great sport and fisheries conservation moving forward.
