Johnny Moesel is a 15-year-old fly angler based in Devon. He has been fishing since the age of 6, and now competes as part of the England Youth Team, as well as entering individual competitions, such as the Youth National and Troutmasters (which he won). As this was his first season of competitions, he is looking forward to a busier competition calendar in the coming years. Although he has fished all over the UK, from Northumberland to Cornwall on a range of waters from chalk streams to large reservoirs, he is most experienced on small stillwaters, where he prefers the imitative approach. As a self – taught angler himself, Johnny wants to help other young anglers improve by providing accessible and useful information online.
