Published: 19th September 2025 | Author: Fulling Mill

We proudly offer just about everything you need to tie your favorite flies and keep the creative juices flowing at the vise. Keep reading for a peek at our brand new Pro Thread range and more new materials for fly tying. If you’re like us, time at the tying desk brings great joy, and you get excited by the latest and greatest in fly tying. So here it is!

NEW Pro Threads

The thread you use for fly tying makes a big difference. It’s a critical component of any fly, and choosing the right thread not only enhances durability but also makes the tying process smoother and more enjoyable. That’s why we’ve created an assortment of perfectly spooled, high-quality threads designed to meet the needs of all fly tiers. Whether you’re tying flies for freshwater or saltwater, big patterns or small, we’ve got you covered. Our Pro Threads come in a wide range of strengths, sizes, and colors to suit any fly tying project. Explore the collection below and find the perfect thread for your next tie!

Pro Thread Flat

Our Pro Flat 70d thread is the perfect choice for tyers who want the thread to lie flat. We use this thread for small trout nymphs, dries, emergers, and wet flies. We use the Pro Flat 210d for large streamers and saltwater patterns where you need a lot of binding strength.

Pro Thread Twisted

Pro Twisted 70d thread is perfect for tying a wide range of smaller flies. We use the 70d for small trout nymphs, dries, emergers and wet flies. Pro Twisted 110d thread is perfect for tying a wide range of medium-sized flies. We use the 110d across a wide range of larger trout nymphs, medium to large dries, and small to medium streamers in both fresh and saltwater. Pro Twisted 140d thread is perfect for tying a wide range of large flies. When you are working with more substantial amounts of material and need more binding strength. We use the 140d for large surface patterns like poppers, large streamers and large saltwater baitfish type patterns. One of its key attributes is its great binding strength making it easy to grip materials and hold them securely in place.

Pro Floss

Floss can bring attention to your fly. Our fluorescent color range invites your creativity. Put it to use in tag-style wet flies and nymphs like Olsen’s Blowtorch, or use it for high-viz posts on dry flies like Arnot’s New Age Silver Surfer. Our Pro Floss 110 is completely unique and unlike anything currently available on the market. A versatile material that can be used for ribbing, tags, collars, and posts on trout nymphs, wets, dries, emergers, and small streamers. The 340d Pro Floss is best for larger nymphs like stoneflies, big dries, and streamers. A shared attribute between the two is their binding strength, making it easy to grip materials and hold them securely in place.

NEW Tying Materials

In addition to tying thread, we’ve added a lot of new fly tying materials to our range this year—as well as new colors for existing offerings! We’ve added five new dubbings, silicone legs in a bunch of different colors and styles, round rubber, mini marabou, shrimp eyes, changer chenille, and extra small cactus chenille. Go check out the new materials below, along with the color range expansion to our bucktails and salty craft fur!

Silicone Legs

We added 10 new ranges of silicon legs. Some regular size, some micro. Some spotted, some barred, some multi-color. Our goal was to cover just about all the bases. Five clumps of legs per pack, infinite possibilities.

Round Rubber

Round rubber is best used for legs on big foam flies and a wide range of both stillwater and warmwater surface patterns like poppers or big damsel flies. With 16 different colors to choose from, we’re sure you’ll find just the thing for your tying demands.

New Dubbings

We’ve expanded our dubbing range which has been a huge hit on fly tyers desks around the world. We are super excited about these additions to the dubbing range and hope you like them too! Our new dubbings are all offered in 1 gram packs. Interested in better storing your dubbings? Check out the Fulling Mill Dubbing Box and Dubbing Box Selections, pre-loaded with 12 shades of Fulling Mill dubbing of your choice.

CDC Dubbing

Fulling Mill CDC dubbing is made from our super premium CDC feathers and is available in 12 colors. Dubbed loose, it gives your flies an extra buggy appearance. Dubbed tighter, it has an excellent mottled appearance on a slim body. Perfect for nymph and dry fly bodies of all types. You can also use it in dubbing loops or as the collar on nymphs and jig streamers. A versatile all-round product.

Argentine Hare Dubbing

Our new Argentine Hare dubbing is a slightly stiffer fibre than a lot of the Argentine Hare we have worked with at our tying benches over the years. The dubbing brings super buggy qualities to whatever you are tying. Excellent for trout flies—dries, emergers, and nymphs alike. If you are looking for the best natural dubbing to give you that super spiky look you want on your nymphs, look no further! Leave it spiky for a leggy effect or trim it down for a slimmer profile.

Flex Dubbing

Fulling Mill Flex dubbing is specially designed for brush construction. It can be used by itself for a ver “spiky” yet mobile body or you can blend it with your favorite smoother streamer dubbings.

Eco Trigger Dubbing

Eco Trigger dubbing is an expansion of our popular Eco Warrior dubbing range. Featuring subtle traces of fluorescent synthetic blended to the base dubbing to give that bit of an extra pop to your flies.

Eco Rabbit Dubbing

Eco Rabbit dubbing is a synthetic and natural rabbit dubbing blend that we create from the excess material left from cutting our popular rabbit strips. Super soft and easy to work with, useful for dubbing loops or just basic techniques on nymph or dry fly bodies.

Mini Marabou

Who doesn’t like marabou? If you tie flies, you’re well familiar with the value and versatility marabou adds to flies. Our new Mini Marabou feathers are smaller than your standard marabou feathers, which makes them perfect for smaller fly patterns. As with our premium-selected marabou feathers the bases are pre-stripped to make them easy to use at the vise. It’s available in 15 colors with 36 feathers per pack.

Shrimp Eyes

Our Shrimp Eyes are available in 9 colors, some with pupils and some without. The tie-in point is flat, making it easier to secure to your hook. Give it a try for your favorite saltwater patterns or incorporate them in your crayfish flies as well!

Changer Chenille

Small and medium Changer Chenille offered in 12 colors. This is a super soft chenille that’s great for building bulk on baitfish and minnow style flies. Super easy to work with and a real time saver when tying streamers. With plenty of colors to play with, you won’t get bored this tying season.

XXSmall Cactus Chenille Pearl

Our XXSmall Cactus Chenille in an extra small version of our translucent, with no supporting fibers, it gives the ultimate translucent effect when palmered on bodies. It’s great for nymphs and small stillwater patterns. It’s available in 12 colors and 2 sizes.

New Colors for Salty Craft Fur & Bucktail

Salty Craft Fur is awesome for a variety of saltwater and freshwater flies baitfish flies. We’ve heard that craft fur is slightly stiffer than what’s historically been on the market adds a degree of “pushiness”, often sought after when tying swim flies and streamers. We are particularly excited to offer barred craft fur, which adds a life-like value to whatever you’re tying.

Bucktail is one of the most classic and versatile natural materials out there for subsurface flies. We decided to expand the color range of our existing bucktails to meet the needs of tyers. With the addition of fiery brown, light grey dun, fluorescent pink, and baby pink, we invite you to spin up your favorite bucktail patterns. Whether you’re tying Clouser minnows, or reverse tying bucktail and spinning hair for larger baitfish patterns, we’re sure there’s a color and tail that suits your needs.

For those anglers in the Northern hemisphere, winter is approaching, and with it comes the chance to reflect on the season’s fishing and refill your fly boxes for next year. Consider tying with some of our new materials and threads this season! Put it to the test at the vise and on the water, and let us know how it treats you.
