Every year we add to our popular range of fly tying materials based on requests from fly shops and tyers around the country. As we head into fall and the tying season ahead, our shelves are getting stocked up on some of the latest fly tying materials. Saddle Hackle
This is our high-quality, long, strung saddle hackle. We recommend these for tying streamers, saltwater patterns, and predator flies. Carefully cleaned and dyed, we offer these in 20 colors with a mix of muted and fluorescent. Each pack has 6 grams of feathers. Super bang for your buck!
We’ve been using our new Saddle Hackle in a range of flies for a variety of species. Whether it’s trout and bass streamers, saltwater baitfish patterns, or big flies for toothy critters like pike and musky, our Saddles have been put to the test.
Pro GSP Thread
This is our ultra-strong, fine-diameter, twisted, gel-spun thread. What’s special about this product is that the color has been manufactured into the thread, so it will not run. For anyone who has tried tying with colored GSP, you’ll know that bleeding color is a common problem. We aimed to address this and feel we have a super competitive product that will be enjoyed by fly tyers around the world. This thread will be available in 30, 50, 100, and 150 denier. At the moment, the colors are only available in 30 and 50. Give it a try and let us know what you think!
Pro Wire
Good wire should be a staple at any fly tyers desk, especially if you tie trout flies. This is premium-quality, copper wire offered in all the key colors you would use in a variety of tying situations. Pro Wire is available in three sizes: Small (0.1mm), Medium (0.2mm), and Large (0.3mm). With 20 meters of wire per spool, this stuff should last you a while.
Pro Brush Wire
For those of you who like to build custom brushes for fly tying, look no further. Our Pro Brush Wire is made of stainless steel, so it will not rust. It’s perfect for making brushes for all your streamer, saltwater, and predator fly tying.
New Colors of Premium Selected Marabou Feathers & Marabou Bloods
All fly tyers need marabou. Whether you’re using it for tail material or incorporating it into the bodies of flies, marabou has unmatched movement when stripped, jigged, or swung. We added 5 new colors in both our Premium Selected Marabou and Marabou Bloods. If you’ve tied with our Marabou before, you know it’s premium stuff. Each bag is stuffed to the brim with quality marabou feathers. The 5 new colors you’ll find are Fluorescent Blue, Fluorescent Kingfisher Blue, Bright Purple, Dark Blue, and last but certainly not least, Fluorescent Lemonade.
