Hoppers are happening all over the country, and the trout are ready to eat. Don’t miss out on this special time of year. To make sure you have your bases covered, grab some of these hopper patterns. They never let us down.
Project Hopper
The Project Hopper was designed by the guys at Fly Fish Food to be an extremely realistic imitation of a hopper. In fisheries that see a lot of pressure, this pattern can be a game changer. For those fish that like to give a long inspection, it will seal the deal.
Panther Creek Hopper
This is another great hopper for fishing grassy banks. It’s designed to float high, and has great visibility for when you’re fishing tight on structure. This pattern comes in both Olive and Tan. These are great patterns to choose when you’re looking to fish a hopper dropper setup as they float high and can suspend a solid amount of weight.
Elden’s Hopper Tan
It’s hard not to overdo it when tying hopper patterns, which is why we like this pattern. Simple, with a perfect silhouette, it’s extremely effective on picky fish.
Tom Rosenbauer’s Rosenhopper
Tom Rosenbauer swears by this pattern, so we do too. During the summer terrestrial months, it’s the perfect option to tie on for bank fishing. Buoyant and super buggy, it’s a great generalist pattern. This is another great option when you’re looking to fish a hopper dropper setup.
Schroeder’s Hopper
Classic, and effective. This pattern is available in a range of sizes and colors, so that you can best match your local forage. It’s a time-tested winner for a reason!
