What is Magnet-ique MagMini?
Designed for anglers, by anglers, the MagMini is the perfect accessory for ANY fly angler. It’s designed to be used as a fly patch on any fishing garment. Simply drop your fly onto the MagMini and it will hold it perfectly secure for hours on end. The carabiner clip (supplied) allows you to hang the MagTrap from a zinger, lanyard or jacket. But, the one unique feature is that you can split the MagTrap in half, insert the back piece inside a pocket, for instance, the front pocket on a pair of waders, and place the front of the MagMini on the outside of the wader, allowing you to travel extremely light on the water’s edge.
At first, we were worried about the strength of the magnets, putting your trust in any product to protect your favourite fly, or even a selection of flies for your day out can be nervewracking, many times we have used fly patches only to find a fly has brushed off during a cast or walking through tall bushes. Saying that this product has been excellent in holding flies so far, even a bunch of flies at once. The super-strong magnets and centerpiece hold each and every fly securely.
Since it’s introduction back in early 2019, the guys at Magnet-ique have introduced a Matte Black & Battleship Grey (stealth) version, with a machined MagHub to reduce flash, all topped off with a Matte Black Marine Grade Stainless Steel Carabiner. This is a great way of being super discreet on the river bank.
