Published: 8th November 2022 | Author: Fulling Mill

As tying season is fast approaching, we have some exciting news to share. We have seven new hooks for 2022! From a size expansion in the Jig Force Regular and Short models, to an all new hook— the Grub Boss—there’s going to be lots for you to add to your tying rotation this winter. Below we go into the dirty details on each hook so you can understand what’s new, and why.

View all the new hooks here.

FM5045 Jig Force Size Expansion

Now in sizes 20 & 22 barbless. The flagship model in our hook range gets smaller. With the ever-growing demand for smaller hooks we’ve got your back. Additionally, the Jig Force now has a slightly upturned point and is available in sizes 20 & 22 for the angler looking to go smaller. As with the others, this hook is available with a black nickel finish. Some ideas for patterns you can tie with this hook:

FM5125 Jig Force Short Size Expansion

Now in sizes 22 & 24 barbless. If you enjoy tying and fishing competition style river nymphs, this is your new best friend. Unlike other wide gap micro jigs on the market, we’ve taken special care to make sure the smaller sizes in this model are properly tempered and will not fail. What’s more, due to their wide gap, you can firmly hook some seriously big fish on these small hooks without any problem at all. As with the others, this hook is available with a black nickel finish. Some ideas for patterns you can tie with this hook:

FM5130 Jig Force Long Size Expansion

Now in sizes 6 barbless. The long shank cousin to the FM5045 just got bigger! We’ve added a size 6 for anglers who are looking to tie big stonefly and baitfish patterns. As with the others, this hook is available with a black nickel finish. Some ideas for patterns you can tie with this hook:

NEW: FM5120 Grub Boss Barbless

Fear no fish with this all-new powerhouse hook model. Coming in sizes 10-20, a stamped point gives the angler superior hooking ability when encountering large fish. And, the wide gape will allow you to easily oversize beads and still get strong hook sets. Lastly, its heavy gauge wire you’ll be able to hold large fish with no issues and quickly bring them to net. A versatile hook in every way. As with our other barbless hooks, this will be available in black nickel. Some ideas for patterns you can tie with this hook:

NEW: FM5067 Czech Nymph Heavy Barbless

This is a new heavy gauge wire version of our popular Czech Nymph hook. In sum, we’ve significantly jumped up the wire diameter to give you confidence in hooking, holding and playing fish. Additionally, superior tempering gives this hook model a robust backbone for when you’re dredging nymphs in deep heavy water for big fish. As with our other barbless hooks, this will be available in black nickel. Some ideas for patterns you can tie with this hook:

New: FM5027 Grab Gape Heavy Barbless

The popular Grab Gape is now getting a heavy wire cousin. Much like the Czech Nymph hook, we upped the wire gauge considerably on this hook. As a result, you’ll have much more confidence when playing big fish when using it. This fantastic hook model is the perfect match for when you’re tying low-water emergers, dries and nymphs alike. You’ll be blown away with this hooks ability to hook and hold fish of every size, even in the small size 20. As with our other barbless hooks, this will be available in black nickel. Some ideas for patterns you can tie with this hook:

FM5095 Competition Heavyweight Barbless

This is the ultimate stillwater barbless hook and a barbless version of our hugely popular Competition Heavyweight barbed hook. Critically, a size 10 exactly fits inside the International Rules Loch Style size limit. This is the real multipurpose stillwater hook, in the smallest sizes (16-14) this hook is ideally suited to smaller nymphs and dry flies, Sizes 10 and 12, the key stillwater sizes, a myriad of patterns from Blobs and Boobies to Buzzers and Diawl Bachs can be tied. And, in the largest sizes of 6 and 8 it is ideally suited to larger stillwater lure patterns like fry patterns, snakes and Humungous patterns.
