Davie McPhail 4/4

Published: 3rd December 2021 | Author: Fulling Mill

The last video with Davie McPhail is finally here! In this fourth part of the series, Davie ties up a stillwater workhorse—the Blakestone Buzzer. Like the last video on the Pheasant Tail, the Blakestone is not a complicated fly to tie. However, even the simplest flies can be done to complete perfection. This will increase durability, and be just a bit better at catching fish. So, grab a cup of tea (or coffee) and learn from the master himself.

If you haven’t seen it yet, back in September we filmed an interview on Davie’s life, fishing and tying. You can watch it here.

We’re sure many of you know Davie and his videos. However, for those of you who don’t, here’s a little more info on Davie. Famous for his fly tying skills, Davie has recently reached the benchmark of 100,000 YouTube followers. From over 30 years of tying and fishing, his experience is second to none. Truly, his videos are incredible for beginners and experts alike. To check out his page, head to the this link.

If you’re interested in purchasing some of Davie’s flies, you can find them here.

This is part one of four in a series on Davie McPhail. Stay tuned for the rest by signing up for the blog.
