How To Tie The Purple Nasty Euro NymphPublished: 20th January 2020 | Author: Fulling Mill
The Purple Nasty euro nymph is yet another variation on the original pheasant tail nymph, a truly remarkable fly when it comes to trout and grayling fishing on both rivers and lakes. This particular pattern features a small red hot spot and a purple glister thorax, and of course, a dyed black pheasant tail body.
This fly is unique in the fact that it’s extremely diverse, the black and purple colour combination is great for targeting both trout and grayling, during the winter or summer, tied in the appropriate sizes… Purple is a colour which seems to be favoured by both species, rather unlike pink which is more commonly referred to as a colour more suited for targeting grayling.
